"September 17, 2017—the day after hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico—was the day that changed MichaelAngelo II Angleró’s life. As he looked around his devastated neighborhood, he saw not the disaster, but all the possible scenarios in which he and his people could rise against adversity, together as one, to change their home island for the better. For him, this has come to mean committing his life to reversing the brain-drain, all in an effort to transform Puerto Rico’s economy from one of manufacturing to one of intellectual property. MichaelAngelo’s most special skill is organizing coherent teams that actually get shit done, as he did in the wake of Maria when he founded, scaled, and since left EduBlock, a non-profit organization focused on blockchain education. MichaelAngelo sees blockchain technology, and particularly, secure private key management, as a necessary pillar for humans to be able to live safely and easily in cities of the future. Today he leads a team that is rapidly building a wearable private key management solution—one that may prove to be the user-experience disruptor that decentralized applications desperately need in order to positively impact the world through mainstream adoption."
